Peace Prayer Park

One of the days when my mom was here we drove out to Peace Prayer Park. This park is where there is a monument for the fallen men of the battle of Okinawa. It is very sad to see the 10's of thousands of men who perished. Each country that fought has its own wall with the names of the fallen engraved on it. Every year the people of Okinawa flock to this park in observance of those who lost their lives.
One of the walls. I think this is one of the many walls belonging to the United States.
The corner stone of peace water feature. We were not sure what this was supposed to resemble but they call it the corner stone of peace.
